Something Worth the Wait

Here is my first piece created specifically for (drumroll please).....my first art exhibit! Although I have plenty of art in my shop right now, I'd prefer to have most of the pieces coordinate somewhat with one another. Since the venue is a book store, I've created Little Red Riding Hood (above) to partner with the Princess and the Pea, finished last year. The exhibit is not until summer, which will give me plenty of time to paint my little heart out and be good and ready! I've tried to make the wolf not too scary here. My sister grew up with a "Peter and the Wolf" painting in her bedroom which she says gave her nightmares! I certainly wouldn't want to be responsible for scaring little children.
